Cambridge, ON – Canada’s oldest hockey championship will be competed for April 20-27 in Dundas  at J L Grightmire Arena. The 2024 Allan Cup Challenge will feature the host team Dundas Real McCoys along with representatives from Newfoundland and Alberta, as well as a representative from the Ontario Hockey Association’s (OHA) Allan Cup Hockey league. This Cup has been competed for since 1908 and is Canada’s oldest hockey championship.

The Ontario Hockey Association will host the event again this year.

“The OHA is extremely proud to be once again hosting the prestigious and historic Allan Cup in Dundas, Ontario which will welcome teams from across Canada. It is particularly gratifying for the OHA to host this piece of Canadiana in a season when eleven (11) new senior teams were welcomed to the OHA family. I encourage local hockey fans to come out and enjoy this great national celebration of hockey“, said OHA Chairman Marc Mercier.

“The Real McCoys plan to build on last year’s successful event, along with Alberta and Newfoundland to bring the Allan Cup back to its rightful place in Canada’s great hockey tradition. We plan to expand the footprint of teams competing for the Allan Cup by providing Senior AA teams the opportunity to challenge as well”,  stated Don Robertson of the Real McCoys.

We are also excited to announce that this year’s Allan Cup final will be carried live on Saturday April 27th at 3:00 OM by CHCH TV which is available across Canada and Cable 14 in Hamilton. The Semi Final on Friday night will be on Cable 14 with same hosts. We are also very excited to announce that legendary broadcaster Rod Black will do play by play and be joined in the booth by Rick Vaive former Toronto Maple Leafs captain. Fun fact – Vaive played for the Real McCoys in the 2003 Allan Cup in Dundas.

Tickets packages will be available online at realmccoys.ca next week. For more information contact Don Robertson (905) 627-4880
