The newest entry to the OHA continues to grow in leaps and bounds…this current round of expansion takes the league up to 14 teams…with the potential of more to be added prior to the start of the 2025-2026 season!

Cambridge, ON – the Ontario Elite Hockey League member clubs and Ontario Hockey Association have approved three expansion applications for the 2025-26 playing season.
Joining the OEHL are the Elora Rocks, Shelburne Muskies and Tillsonburg Thunder.
All three are established and respected organizations within their communities, and will only add to the quality product the OEHL provides for small communities.
“These are three franchises steeped in hockey tradition,” said OEHL Commissioner Rick Richardson. “We are thrilled to have them join our league.”
The expansion continues on the OEHL’s vision of a competitive Sr. “AA” hockey across small communities in Ontario.
Further expansion applications are still possible as the OEHL begins the planning process for the upcoming season. “We remain open to approving additional teams in time for the 2025-26 season,” said Richardson.
